Chartered firms must follow a demanding code of ethical practice. This means that they must work in a principled manner that places clients’ interests at the heart of the advice they give. They are required to ensure the advice, service and ongoing support provided is:

• Provided by someone operating within their level of competency

You can rely upon a Chartered firm to be trustworthy. They will put your interests above those of others.

 It is a commitment to an overall standard of customer excellence and professionalism.

There are only a few companies that hold this title in Devon & Cornwall.

A chartered company will normally have a specialist who can help in most areas including Investment, Wealth Management, Business planning, Pensions, Retirement planning, Inheritance Tax Planning, Trust and Taxation, Long Term Care (Home Fees), and other financial advice areas of expertise.

Individual Chartered Financial Planners

Chartered status is the profession’s gold standard for financial planners. It confirms that every Chartered Financial Planner has completed a suite of professional qualifications equivalent to degree level. They must have at least 5 years experience and adhere to a respected code of ethics and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Every Chartered Financial Planner is a member of the Personal Finance Society.

Tim Burridge, the Managing Director of Clover Financial Planning in the Exeter office, is qualified to this level. Only a relatively small number of advisers have reached chartered status.
